Equipment

  • 4 8 oz Mason jars with lids sterilized
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 4 c Cucumbers (about 2 medium cucumbers) sliced anyway you like
  • 1.5 c Granulated Sugar
  • 1.5 c White Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Celery Seed
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seed

Instructions
 

  • Slice cucumbers and place in sterilized jars.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients (the brine) in a large mixing bowl until sugar and salt have dissolved
  • Pour brine over cucumbers.
  • Seal jars.
  • Place in refrigerator for at least 1 week before opening.

Notes

**May also use a heated brine for this recipe.  To do so, simply boil the brine.  While still boiling, pour over cucumbers.  Seal and store for about 6 weeks before use.
