buttermilk

cold butter

raisins
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375F.
Mix first six ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Using a pastry cutter, cut butter into mixture until it becomes a crumble.
In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk and egg together.
Slowly stir into the crumb mixture.
Mix in the raisins.
Spoon evenly into a greased muffin tin.
Bake for 20 min.
Serve warm or allow to cool and store in an air tight container.
Notes
**For a lighter tasting muffin, allow ingredients to reach room temperature.
